Iceman Cometh unveiled days before UFC54 takes place

Las Vegas (Aug 18, 2005) - Multi-award winning artist Richard T. Slone has been commissioned by the UFC to paint the upcoming UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) super fight featuring light-heavyweight champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, which will take place on Saturday, August 20, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“The UFC has captivated millions of fans worldwide, and Chuck Liddell is as exciting to watch as any athlete I’ve ever seen, he’s earned the reputation of the undisputed best” said Slone, “I have portrayed Chuck in his most substantive pose of a true warrior who has defeated his foe in brutal combat. The 48 x 36 inch “Iceman Cometh” acrylic painting captures Liddell’s famed victory scream, Slone’s placement of color and shapes make the painting deafening. The painting has been officially licensed by the UFC and will be available in limited edition autographed giclee prints in addition to event posters.

Richard T. Slone has been hailed as the next great artist. His work is widely collected by art collectors and high-society.
