Las Vegas (February 16, 2007) - The long-awaited arrival of Richard T. Slone’s “King James” is finally here! Slone has unveiled his new painting, NBA Superstar LeBron James, just days before the NBA All-Star 2007 game in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Slone’s superb painting captures James in full flight, as he dunks yet another basket in his Cleveland Cavaliers #23 uniform. Slone has nailed the attitude, athleticism and talent that have made James the most celebrated athlete to grace the league in years, possibly since the other #23, Michael Jordan.

Slone’s choice of colors and contrast bring this painting to life, he masterfully captures all the action of a superstar athlete at work. Slone’s unique ability to grasp movement and focus has never been so evident. The image glows as James, the 2006 NBA All-star MVP, slams what appears to be a fire-ball through the hoop.

‘King James’ is a must for any serious Slone collector, it is one of his rare basketball paintings and with the subject being James, it’s a can’t-miss investment for any collector.

Richard T. Slone has been hailed as the next great artist. His work is widely collected by art collectors and high-society. Owners of his originals include Donald Trump, Nelson Mandela, Hugh Hefner and Muhammad Ali. He is the official artist of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, the official artist of the UFC and at only 33 years of age is one of the most accomplished emerging artist’s in the world today. In 2007 Slone agreed to a multi year deal with National Geographic, who’ll publish his work.
